I'd never heard of Bath Tea and now I'm hooked. It only took 15 minutes to whip together and it was super cheap. It transformed my bath time into a luxurious spa treatment

Lavender Shortbread Cookies

1/2 cup Powdered Sugar
2 tsp Dried Lavender
Zest of 1 lemon (the zest is the skin)
1 cup (2 sticks)  butter (at room temp)
1/4 tsp salt
Coarse Sugar (optional)

Combine powdered sugar and softened butter mix until creamy

Add flour and salt

Add dried lavender and lemon zest until incorporated
Mix until just combined

Remove dough from food processor on a large piece of parchment paper

Gently form dough into a ball, dough will be sticky

Chill dough for at least 4 hours

When your ready to bake preheat oven to 375 degrees

Roll out dough to about 1/4 inch thick

Cut desired shape, I used a square cookie cutter
Sprinkle with coarse sugar (optional)
Bake for 13-15 minutes

Remove from oven and allow to cool completely before serving

These cookies are scrumptious. I was a little nervous about adding lavender to my cookie batter but they turned out delicious.

That's all today folks,
I hope you are all enjoying craft week as much as I am. Tomorrow we are tackling bottle cap picture magnets. It's a cheap and easy project that will make any Mother's heart melt.

Blessings,
Mary
