Happy Friday Friends!!!

We made it once again.

Ever since game 1 of the NBA finals, when Lebron James, one of the biggest names in basketball, had to get carried off the court because of killer cramps, I knew I wanted to address cramps on my blog. Today is the lucky day. We will be education ourselves on cramps, where they come from, what cause them, how to prevent them and much much more.

Let's dive in!

What are cramps?

Some underlining medical conditions that are linked to cramps are
  • Inadequate blood supply - narrowing of the arteries that deliver blood to the legs can produce cramps usually go away after exercising
  • Nerve compression - compression of the nerves in your spine can produce cramp like sensations in your legs. The pain increases when you walk

These particular cramps are caused by muscle spasms, involuntary contractions of one or more muscles

You could be relaxing or exercising when it happens. The muscles in your calf, feet, or thighs suddenly become hard, tight, and extremely painful for a few seconds or minutes then it the pain dissipates

Charlie Horses can attack the front and back of thighs, hands, arms, abdomens, and muscles along the rib cage
